The mechanical cleaning behaviour of an ultrasonic bath can be analysed numerically quite easily by an acoustical measurement of the cavitation strength. The measurement procedure has been published in the technical specification IEC TS 63001 and provides reliable data with a high repeatability despite the random manner of ultrasound. With cavispector, a measurement device developed by Köchel Verfications ultrasound cleaning devices and cleaning processes can be analysed and improved.
